What To Do With a Toddler
I’ve heard it said that “the days are long, but the years are short.” That is absolutely true for moms of toddlers! I love this little guy to pieces, but being stuck inside the house day in and day out is not what makes Hunter happy.
So, the other day, Hunter and I went on an adventure. I grabbed his favorite toddler push toy, loaded us in the car with all kinds of snacks and drinks and excitement, and off we went to our local park. I never realized how important push toys were going to be to getting him up and confident in walking. It really was just not but a couple of weeks ago that he was standing and reaching out for a hand or a couch or an ottoman to help make it from one place to the other. But now, thanks to his new best friends, push toys, he is conquering the world! His little, cute world.
Armed with his Thomas and Friends Train and a whole lot of mosquito spray (made just for littles), off we went. We found bugs, and sand, and squirrels and concrete. We even collided and he got a boo boo…the entry to boyhood that every little boy goes through. Hunter must have taken 1000 steps in his fashionable white onsie, dinosaur pants, and tough toddler shoes. He’s adorkable.
It doesn’t really matter what push toy your toddler may use to help him/her get a move-on, but here are a couple more, below, (the exact one that Hunter has is no longer available) that I think would really be fun for little ones to have as they begin their new journey on foot.
Happy toddling.
