Monday Morning Get Ready

I'm heading out this morning to renew my Texas Driver's License.. Yay. Happy Almost 30th Birthday to me!  I've got to face the dreaded DMV camera with no editing allowed. Who invented this anyways?

Storytime. The last time I went to get my license renewed, I ran out of the house with little makeup on and with an empty stomach. My stomach was growling the whole time in line, and then it was time for THE PHOTO. The woman behind the camera said to smile on "3". So, I was very, very ready for that 3 count. She started counting...1....2...and then SHE SNAPPED THE PICTURE!  What? I was not ready. Nope. I asked if she could take another picture since I wasn't ready, and the answer was pretty obvious. No. No way. Needless to say, my last license picture looks like something out of a thriller movie. It wasn't a good morning.

And, I was hungry.    

So this time I'm prepared. I do not want to go to the DMV without eating a good breakfast because then I'll just have a HANGRY license photo...again. I'm actually going to try to look and feel my best. I always heard that a good day starts with a good breakfast. So here I go. 

I'm eating a breakfast that will stick with me because I never know if it will be a short 20 minute thing or if it will be a long 1 1/2 hour thing. Plus, I have to drive about 30 minutes away, so I need some serious breakfast kick to get this renewal license day going.

So, what's in my breakfast bowl?  Pure deliciousness. 

1) strawberries-halved

2) POST Great Grains Banana Nut Crunch - about a cup (they have a brand coupon on the link...bonus!)

3) POST Waffle Crisp -about a cup

4) a sprinkle of Hershey's mini chocolate chips

5) a drizzle of Hershey's chocolate syrup

No milk added. 

Yum! That ought to stick with me for a while.

I'm also going to fancy up my face with full-on makeup so that I won't cringe every time someone asks to see my license. I want to hand my license over with a "yep, that's me" feeling. I can show that DMV camera who's boss. Yeah. 

So, here I go to face that mean ole' camera. Oh. And I'm going to smile on count 1, 2, and 3! Wish me luck!
